Holy Spirit and his work

2 Corinthians 3:3   being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

God deals with men through His Holy Spirit in this age.

1.      How he works for man.

a.       By applying the word (Acts 28:28; 1 Tim 3:16)

b.      By Promulgating the word (Acts 2:4; 13:2).

c.       By interpreting the word (John 16:13; Acts 8:39).

2.      How he work in man.

a.       In conviction (John 16:8)

b.      In enlightenment (John 14:26)

c.       In regeneration (John 3:5)

3.      How he work by man.

a.       Man is prepared for work (Elisha for Israel)

b.      Work is prepared for man (Nineveh for Jonah)

c.       Work is revealed to man (Exodus to Moses)

4.      How he work with man.

a.       His comforting presence (John 16:7)

b.      His powerful assistance (John 14:12)

c.       His sanctifying indwelling (Romans 15:16)
