True Disciple produces more Fruit

Jesus is the fruit bearers, so he wants us to bear more fruit. What is this fruit? What kind of fruit we should bear? Is the fruit should be eatable? These are the question that came into our mind.

When we see the book of Colossians 1:10 so that you may lead lives worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, as you bear fruit in every good work and as you grow in the knowledge of God. In this letter Paul mention clearly the fruit which we are going to bear is not the worldly fruit which we can eat. But it is the fruit that is to do good work to grow in the knowledge of God. So for growing into the work of God we need to do many thing the first thing is to surrender our whole being to the Lord who has given us assurance to the life, also we need to work for the extension of the kingdom of God.

When we look Matthew 12:33 “make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. In this verse we can see that to bear a good fruit we need to make the tree good, when the tree is good automatically the fruit will be good. So in Christian life the thing which we need to do is to be clear in our present stage, we need to strengthen in believe, so that the fruit which we are going to bear will be a good fruit. So that people who are around us will able to see and also will test the fruit which we are bearing.

So we need to think about it, are we bearing the good fruit? If not are we living with Jesus every day? When are we praying faithfully are we focusing on Jesus alone? Or are we rely on Jesus every day? If then let’s think about it a good disciple we must remaining in Jesus, we must keep his work for producing a good fruit. All of us want to live a life in a meaningful way. So Jesus call us to bear a good fruit, he want us to be a good disciple. Those who are following through their faith and obedience. He will offer them the good disciple. To be a good disciple it is not from us but it’s from the Lord, it is not the thing which we want but it is the things that God want from us. We need to go the way that God want us to go. All this things will come when we a really obeying the law of the Lord then we will be a good disciple. And bear a good fruit.
