Press on Maturity

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.

To press on maturity means not to depend on any other thing, to go forward by oneself and trying to achieve the goal without taking any help from others. Likewise, anyone who is moving forward must have maturity. When we see in Christian setup there are many things we can become maturity in this world, we need to mature in our fellowship, church, Bible study and so on.

Who will be pressing on Maturity?
For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
The writer of Hebrew told to the church, this time you can become a mature church. But still you need someone to teach you from the beginning of the oracle of God.  The newly church or newly believers cannot become mature which they heard, they never use it. Likewise Paul is talking to this church like the new believer; they didn’t follow or obey the word they heard. That’s why he told them by this time you ought to become a teacher but still you are like a baby, still you need some soft food or milk not a solid food. You need to start from the beginning, from the starting place (i.e. from A B C).
Same as we need to look at our self, we may think that we know very well the word of God, but if we don’t have anything to share or to pass other people the word of God. As the writer of Hebrew told to the people we also we need to look our self, otherwise we need to go back and start from the beginning.
In Galatians 4: 19 My little children, for whom I am again in the pain of childbirth until Christ is formed in you. Apostle Paul tells to the church of Galatians, we are not saving by the law, but we are saving by the grace of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. As we know the church of Hebrew after they know they are save by the grace of God, but still they are trying to go back to their false believe and trying to enter in the same law and be save. But Apostle Paul know that they are not mature in their believed, that’ why Apostle Paul care for them and trying to bring back to the light of Christ.
We are the follower of Jesus Christ are we still trying to go back to our past live, or we are strengthen our faith through Christ. Or are we still need to take milk like a baby that can’t have solid food.
