Servant Leader

John 13

Servant leadership is one has to serve the people, and will flow from the people who convicted to Christ. Jesus knew who he was, flows from the relationship of the identity from God.

1.  Love for his people

To love one another we need to have genuine commitment to the Lord. If I love my brother/sister/neighbor I will love them all. Loving other is the most important in a servant leadership. If he cannot love one another he is not fit to be a servant.

2.  He must be chosen

Chosen means not by the people but he must be chosen by God. He should have committed life. He must get up from his place. He was intention to serve the people. He must make a choice.

3.  Genuinely selfless

He was not thinking how comfortable he is. He doesn’t know how much capacity he has. He should think for the betterment of other. He should work for other people for not his profit but for the one whom he serves.

            Servant leadership it does not make sensitive. Our model is Jesus who doesn’t come to serve but to serve the people. The leaders are to serve the people. If we have these kinds of leadership, we can be a good follower and a good servant leadership.
