“Work out your Salvation”

Philippians 2:12-18

Here Apostle Paul in mentioning about to work out our salvation, it is very interesting topic, Paul has brought out in this book, “to work out our salvation,” here working out for our salvation is not buying or doing something to purchase for our salvation. But God has given us through his grace and we should receive and train ourselves for the extension of the kingdom of God. And also the way we should live a life, the way we should behave to our fellow friend and without day-to-day life. To explain this point there will be different observation in this topic. But in this passage I would like to bring out “To work out your salvation” is in two ways:

1.      Through obedience
When we said obedience, there can be in two ways the first one is in the presence of others and the other is in the absence of others. So when we said in the presence of other, many people think that work to be done is only when other people are present, or our behavior when people are beside us we are acting like an innocent. We are trying to win by our action. This can be called an “eyes service.” Or else we fear what others might think if I do this. When other people are not there they are neglecting their work, this is not the way Christian should do. If there are people beside them or not they should do their work faithfully. This is what Apostle Paul also teaching us in this passage.
In the absence of others, we don’t like to do anything, but this is the right time to do our duty faithfully. If someone is watching or not we are watched by the Heavenly Father.

2.      We have to work for man and God

Working with both man and God, as we have mention in the first point we must not work only when others people are presence. Working with both man and God, we need to encourage one another to fear the Lord, to hate evil. The important things is to turn to God where there is full of love and wisdom, and also to find the love of God which dispels the improper kind of fear. Instead we need to work both for our fellow friends, neighborhood, above all we need to be concentrate on the living God who can take action in our lives.
